Ohio Health’s Best to be Honored

The Columbus Chapter of the National Black MBA Association (@NBMBAAhq) is excited to announce that Qiana Williams has been selected to receive the NBMBAA – Columbus Chapter Diversity & Inclusion Person of the Year Race for Excellence Award!

This award is given to individuals with a connection to the Greater Columbus area who demonstrate excellence and leadership in the fields of Education and Academic Advancement, Professional and Civic Leadership, and Economic Empowerment. Your work at OhioHealth has qualified you for this award and is worthy of recognition.

Qiana Williams is Vice President, Culture, Engagement & Inclusion and Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer at OhioHealth. In this role, she is responsible for ensuring that diversity and inclusion are embedded in the culture of OhioHealth, as well as OhioHealth’s recruitment, talent development, performance management, patient care, associate behaviors and succession planning efforts.
For more than 15 years, Qiana has delivered strategic leadership, human capital and organizational effectiveness solutions that have helped move people and organizations toward their desired goals. Qiana has built significant expertise in partnering with senior leaders to drive business strategy, culture transformation, workforce planning and talent management. She also has experience developing training programs and communications strategies, establishing strategic partnerships with local and national organizations, working with recruiting to build diverse candidate pipelines and developing associate resource groups. Her experience spans a wide range of national and global industries and businesses, including healthcare, consumer products, financial services, manufacturing and retail, human services and education.

Qiana joined OhioHealth in 2015, bringing a strong background in human resources and diversity work that included time at L Brands and Huntington National Bank. Prior to her role as chief diversity and inclusion officer, Qiana served as director, HR business partner for OhioHealth Grant Medical Center and Corporate Services, and most recently, as senior advisor, Office of the Chief Human Resources Officer.

Qiana has authored many articles and white papers. She is the author of two books: “Win at Work: A Career Roadmap for Building a Wildly Successful Career” and “The Career Roadmap.”

Qiana holds an undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and graduate degrees from Xavier University and the University of Georgia. She is certified through the Human Resource Certification Institute as a Senior Human Resource Professional (SPHR). Qiana is on the board of the African American Leadership Academy. Qiana is also a member of Calibr of the Executive Leadership Council.

Qiana is the mother of two extraordinary children, Tyler and Miles.
