Tasha M Jefferson – Vice President of Administration
As Vice President of Administration for the Columbus Chapter of the National Black MBA Association, Tasha M. Jefferson enjoys being a part of the planning process that brings informative events to the membership. She also enjoys being a connector within Central Ohio, and intends to help students, professionals, entrepreneurs, and the overall community gain valuable knowledge and resources. Tasha is a skillful writer and has used her talents both professionally and creatively. She looks forward to writing grants on the behalf of the Chapter to fund innovative programming and lifechanging scholarships for our Leaders of Tomorrow youth.
Ms. Jefferson is a certified public accountant (CPA) in the state of Ohio. She holds two master’s degrees with distinction from Keller Graduate School of Management: 1) Master of Accounting and Financial Management (MAFM), CPA Emphasis; and 2) Master of Business Administration (MBA), Finance. She also holds a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business: Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA), Finance.
Tasha serves on the Board of the Central Ohio African American Chamber of Commerce (COAACC). She is also a principal in two local businesses, Kuumba Creative Group, LLC a business consultancy; and Kyros Intelligent Solutions, a cybersecurity consultancy. Both business are minority-owned and Kyros is veteran-owned.
Moreover, she is a Financial Analyst at Columbus State Community College (CSCC), where she projects and forecasts revenues and provides strategic support. There are over 27,000 students enrolled at CSCC as of March 2019. Prior to joining CSCC, she was a nineteen year associate of The State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio (STRS Ohio). In her former role of Investment Accountant II, she assisted in assuring the accurate accounting of STRS Ohio’s investments. The pension system was a $79.9 billion fund as of June 2018.
Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Tasha resides in the area with her fiancé and is the mother of four children and one grandchild. She enjoys dancing, innovating, roller skating, and writing poetry.
